March 8 - Six Months
Yes, our sweet boy is already six months old! He is so much fun, and so so so stinking adorable. I'll just jump straight to the bullet points.
- He's a big boy: 16.5 lbs and 26.5 inches (for a point of reference, Syd was 17 lbs and 27" at a year!). He wears size 3 diapers and 6-12 month clothes, 18 months if it's a one piece outfit. He's definitely built like a Dixon man, with an extra long torso
- The past two months have been rough on Henry (well, especially before that). Shortly after his four-month appointment, Henry was diagnosed with Reflux. Since January, we've been trying out different doses/combinations of medications. We're hoping to find just the right mix to give him some relief SOON!
- As for sleeping, he was fabulous at the beginning. He started sleeping through the night at 7 weeks on his own. He did great until Christmas, and has only made it through an entire night a small handful of times since then. I'm blaming the reflux. He's a really good napper though, and usually takes two 2-hour naps during the day, and then a quick one in the evening. His best sleep comes when he rolls over to his tummy (gasp) and has a paci and his glo-seahorse
- He's loving solid foods!
- Henry is sitting up pretty well on his own. He's not quite steady enough to sit him up and walk away, but he's getting there.
- He loves sitting in the exersaucer. Really, he loves chewing on all the toys on the exersaucer. He is showing all the signs of teething, but so far no pearls (first one appeared on 3/30!)
- He's very ticklish, and has the sweetest laugh. Syd can usually always make his smile- he watches her constantly
I mean really, look at that smile. How could we NOT be in love with this guy??
